1 Metal Frames

Some metal frames
are marked GF or GP meaning gold fill or gold plate. Often they will
have the amount of gold fill preceding these letters, eg 1/10 12k,
meaning one part in ten, 12 karat. The value of the gold in these
frames is negligible however the fact that these frames have a gold
content means that they are far less likely to corrode and will keep
their look with an occasional polish with a jewellers cloth.

Plastic Frames

Designer Express Eye Care eyeglasses are created
with special attention to details. EEC eyewear is ideal for those
who want a product characterized by classic style, clean-cut design
and high-quality frames. Also, EEC eyeglasses are designed for the
fashion conscious who understand elegant and classical style.
3 Rimless Frames

Rimless
eyeglass frame sacrifices some strength in order to obtain the
lightest weight. On our fitting and care page we discuss the rimless
frame but using common sense handling and storage, this design will
be durable in an office environment.
Rimless frames fitted with high refraction lenses
(thin) and good anti reflective coatings can be next to invisible
when worn. Not only light weight but truly high fashion eyewear. The
rimless eyeglass frame is in an attractive blue/grey gunmetal color
with screwless fittings like the silhouette frames.
We even include a hard case and cleaning cloth with
each rimless frame.
4 Nylon Frames

Nylon frames are
lightweight and again, hypoallergenic. Easy to adjust to size but
responds better to hot water than traditional hot air frame warmers.
Also, Nylon tends to dry out and it can be worthwhile giving the
frame a soak in water once in a while. Keeping them "supple" in this
way can make them virtually unbreakable.
